The wonderful Jim graciously invited me to guest post for him, and I’m over there today talking about my Nanowrimo experience this year. And Adam Levine. Because I’m shameless and a hypocritical feminist.
Happy January! Maybe someday I’ll share the story of how I didn’t go to Christmas mass alone after all (here’s a hint: flu).
I will have to read your guest post. I’ve just completed nano too. What an experience!
I’m so glad you were successful in Nanowrimo. Truly, I am. I think it’s a wonderful event that does wonderful things for many, many writers. I am just not one of them! I think a lot of it is the time of year. November is chaos for me. I’ve wondered if I would have more success with writing a novel in a month if I scheduled it during the summer? Hmmm.
Hmmm…difficult to say. I find that I am busier with work and out and about a lot in the summer so November suited me. You should try the Script Frenzy in April!
I have considered doing NaNoWriMo for a few years now, each time psyching myself up and then chickening out. I’m pretty sure that it’s not for me, and that if I did manage it, it’d be fifty thousand words of utter crap!
After only the briefest perusing of your blog while my nanny charges are taking a nap, I have to say I highly doubt it would be 50k words of crap! I’m so intrigued by education in Saudi Arabia, and can’t wait to read more. Thanks for visiting!
