Nanowrimo: failure or success?

The wonderful Jim graciously invited me to guest post for him, and I’m over there today talking about my Nanowrimo experience this year. And Adam Levine. Because I’m shameless and a hypocritical feminist.

Happy January! Maybe someday I’ll share the story of how I didn’t go to Christmas mass alone after all (here’s a hint: flu).

    • I’m so glad you were successful in Nanowrimo. Truly, I am. I think it’s a wonderful event that does wonderful things for many, many writers. I am just not one of them! I think a lot of it is the time of year. November is chaos for me. I’ve wondered if I would have more success with writing a novel in a month if I scheduled it during the summer? Hmmm.

      • Hmmm…difficult to say. I find that I am busier with work and out and about a lot in the summer so November suited me. You should try the Script Frenzy in April!

  1. I have considered doing NaNoWriMo for a few years now, each time psyching myself up and then chickening out. I’m pretty sure that it’s not for me, and that if I did manage it, it’d be fifty thousand words of utter crap!

    • After only the briefest perusing of your blog while my nanny charges are taking a nap, I have to say I highly doubt it would be 50k words of crap! I’m so intrigued by education in Saudi Arabia, and can’t wait to read more. Thanks for visiting!
